Hi all,

Since that record-breaking soggy Saturday nearly 2 weeks ago, the weather has settled down with little rain falling. Unfortunately, it hasn’t delivered something warmer like we saw at the end of February. The next couple of days do bring some warmer temperatures but the outlook is the opposite.

March a tale of two halves. Wet-Dry.

Thursday: A cloudy morning but as the day progresses sunny spells will develop and also warmer than recently. Max 13°C

Friday: A chilly start with a ground-frost. Warm sunny spells but cloud should increase later and especially in western parts. Staying dry. Max 14°C

Weekend: Colder and a sunnier Sunday.

Saturday: A weak weather front will drag some cloud down from the northwest with perhaps some patchy rain. Colder. Max 10°C

Mothers’ Day: Lovely with plenty of sunny spells and remaining dry. It will be cold with a fresh breeze. Frosty overnight. Max 9°C

Outlook: Chilly with a few wintry showers but plenty of dry weather. Frosty nights then some decent sunny spells by day. More unsettled weather after that. The tabloids will be rife with over-the-top cold and snowy stories no doubt but stay tuned to my forecast on Twitter.

The second week of April still looks cold and perhaps turning more unsettled
