Halfway through autumn, and so far quite a wet one but with little happening over the past week. We’ve been stuck with stubborn cloud this week and mostly mild temperatures which peaked at 16.6°C on Tuesday. So, anything significant on the horizon? Let’s see…
Thursday: A mostly overcast day with some showery rain around during the morning. It will tend to dry up for the remainder of the day, possibly brighter before dusk, and feel cooler than recently. Max 12°C
Friday: A band of rain will move from west to east during the morning and early afternoon. Brighter and drier for the evening. Cool. Max 11°C
Saturday: Much milder once again but with strong southwesterly winds. A dry morning is expected but cloud will thicken into the afternoon with rain expected later and overnight. Max 16°C
Sunday: Further spells of rain turning showery later and becoming cooler as a cold front moves through. Still breezy. Max 12°C
Outlook: The Jet Stream looks set to be over or close to the UK so expect further spells of rain with bright spells and showers in between. Windy at times too. So, typical autumnal weather but no sign of anything particularly cold for the time of year.
Don’t forget the clocks go back one hour on Sunday morning at 2am. The darker evenings are here.
